Vaccinations During Pregnancy

Whooping Cough Vaccination 

A whooping cough vaccine is offered during pregnancy to protect the newborn during the first few months of life, when the baby has not yet developed its own immunity.

Rh prophylaxis

If you are Rh-negative, you will be offered Rh prophylaxis in accordance with current guidelines to prevent immunization.

Flu Vaccination 

Flu vaccination is recommended during pregnancy and is offered in accordance with regional guidelines during flu season.

Other Vaccinations 

RS Virus (Abrysvo) We provide vaccination against the RS virus. The Abrysvovaccine is administered during weeks 24–36 of pregnancy .

The goal is to provide greater protection against severe RSV infection in newborns during the first few weeks of life.

The vaccination is administered at cost and is not included in the region’s basic program.

We’re happy to provide information about what the vaccination entails and help you make a decision based on your individual circumstances and preferences.

COVID-19 

If you are pregnant, you no longer need to get vaccinated against COVID-19 to be well protected against the disease. This applies provided that you do not have any medical condition or are not undergoing any treatment that affects your immune system.
