We offer expanded basic services in the area of general gynecology, which means you can schedule an appointment with our midwives for an evaluation of minor gynecological issues. If necessary, you can also schedule an appointment with our gynecologist. The midwifery clinic can serve as a first point of contact for common lower abdominal symptoms and complements the services provided by the health center.
– Itching or burning in the genital area
– Changes in vaginal discharge or foul-smelling discharge
– Painful menstruation or the need to delay your period
– Pain during intercourse
– Replacement of the estrogen ring
– General vaginal examination.
The first appointment takes place with a midwife and includes a consultation and examination, if necessary. If it becomes apparent during the visit that further medical evaluation is needed, we will refer you to our gynecologist. If necessary, an ultrasound evaluation is also available, for example, if endometriosis or other gynecological conditions requiring further investigation are suspected. You can also schedule an appointment with a gynecologist to try out an Oestring or a prolapse ring, as well as to get a prescription.
If necessary, we will help you access the appropriate level of care, either at our clinic or by referring you to another healthcare provider.
The visit costs 200 kronor according to Region Skåne’s patient fees. For those under 20, the visit is free of charge and is covered by the high-cost protection program.
