Emergency Methods
There are two types of emergency birth control pills. One can be taken up to 120 hours—that is, five days—after unprotected sex. The other can be taken up to 72 hours—that is, three days. The first type is slightly more effective.
Emergency birth control pills are also available at our drop-in clinic at our clinic, or you can schedule an appointment if you’d like support or counseling in connection with this.

The copper IUD is the most effective emergency method of contraception.
